WebSpain Clients - Mike Kiser - Kiser's Orthotics
My wife Frances and I met at the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago, Northwestern University School of Medicine. Frances was from Chatham, Cape Cod, Massachusetts and I was from Southern California. We moved to California after University and were married shortly after. We worked at different O&P facilities in 1982 and were certified in Orthotics and Prosthetics in 1984.
We moved to Keene, NH and opened Kiser’s Orthotic and Prosthetic Services in 1987. In 1999 we opened an office in Turners Falls, Massachusetts to service the pioneer valley. Frances specializes in Prosthetics (artificial Limbs) and I specialize in Orthotics (orthopedic braces). We provide service to a three state area, New Hampshire, Vermont and Massachusetts.
We design fit and fabricate custom devices. We make prosthesis with microprocessor knees and myeloelectric elbows, wrists, hands and rotators. We also make prosthesis using the I-Limb spherical grasping hand. In orthotics we make all types of spinal braces including scoliosis management. We make devices for lower and upper extremity for all diagnoses.
We have a full laboratory and fabricate all custom devices onsite.
This is rare in 2010 as most offices have other central fabrication businesses make their devices for them. This method takes the practitioner out of the loop making it impossible to control how the device is made. This makes it very difficult if not impossible to troubleshoot fit and function. If they don’t know how to make an orthosis or prosthesis, how can they remedy problems? Many offices don’t have minimal equipment to make adequate adjustments. Both of our offices have full laboratories.
Our philosophy is to provide the best service possible and that we are there for the patient (customer) not the other way around. This is why I feel so lucky to have found Pete and WEBSPAIN to build our website as they have the same philosophy.
I met Pete through a motorcycle forum that he owns. I noted that on one of his postings he had a link to WEBSPAIN. I saw the different types of sites he built and was impressed at his creativity. I emailed him to see if he built sites in the USA and that was a very fortunate inquiry for me as he said yes. I have spoken to a few website builders in the past and was unimpressed with their enthusiasm for the project and price.
Pete on the other hand didn’t talk down and try to dazzle me with his brilliance and sales pitch. He simply asked me to describe my business, how it operates and what we do. He made an effort to understand what Kiser’s Orthotic and Prosthetic Services is about. Very few people know much about Orthotics and Prosthetics and he worked hard to understand. I immediately felt comfortable that he would go the extra mile to develop a site that would reflect the care and concern we have for our patients.
I feel it was a benefit that Pete didn’t have knowledge about O&P but a desire to learn about my profession. He came to the project without preconceived notions. The price he quoted was very reasonable and one that we could afford. I feel Pete’s service is one of the best values I have found. I have recommended him so enthusiastically to a few businesses I know that I’m not sure how believable I am as I probably come off as trying to sell them something.
Pete and WEBSPAIN worked with me and redirected me when I was going in the wrong direction. He directed the message to achieve my goal. Pete arranged the content in a coherent manner and added slide shows and news feeds to make my website interesting.
I can email Pete on Sunday evening with an update to my site and even though I don’t expect him to do this right away, he always does. I don’t think the word procrastinate exists in his vocabulary. I wanted to drop some photos on my website and Pete stated why that may not be a good idea. So his guidance means a lot to me. The main limitation of my website is the content that I provide to Pete.
I am amazed how well Pete has my website in Google, Yahoo and Bing. My site though published only for a few months, is positioned better than the rest of the sites that have been online for years. Pete made something I was very nervous about doing, easy. I thought building a website would be a stressful, anxious, and costly experience. Pete and made it comfortable, fun, exciting and reasonably priced.
Pete and WEBSPAIN made building my website one of the most enjoyable experiences and best values I have encountered in my 25 years of business.
Thank You Pete and WEBSPAIN
